Broken Children?

Children protected –

From daylight and walks to school –

No need to play outdoors –

Or take photos by a pool –

Children engaged in –

A world before a screen –

Not skilled in conversation –

In a world hygienic clean –

Our children can’t be broken –

Look at all the care we take –

To protect – to tend and coddle –

Surely that can’t possibly be a mistake.

Please take this as hyperbole.  I am among the first as a father, grandfather, and educator to advocate child protection.  But have we created a new world of threat through our good intentions?  Just a philosophical point to ponder.
