It was a transient meeting that first between the Clan of the Cat and the Clan of the Dog.  The dialogue was difficult, as they each spoke variants of the common tongue.  But their chieftains discussed what the other might find as they passed each other in opposite directions.  This information well informed each tribe for what was to come.


But as with all such brief encounters it soon ended, and it was in a fittingly poetic irony that the meeting was memorialised in sand.
