Daniel Fehr
The Tea Spirit embodied
In a drink invigorating and clean
Her very essence captured
In the beverage of which she is queen
Some swear by burned beans
For the making of brews
But it is in the simple leaf
That I find my muse
The Tea Spirit’s gift
A drink invigorating and clean
Her very essence in it captured
The elixir which among drinks – is queen

Padre, loved the idea of focusing on the less evident.

Glad you posted to dVerse. Reminds me of the folks who read your fortune by looking at tea leaves 🙂

Rooibos is my favorite, even though not technically a tea. Coffee reigns though, for me.

I prefer tea too, although have an occasional coffee which leaves me feeling thirsty…

Although I prefer the burned beans the simple leaf is perhaps best.

I’m drinking my first cup of tea (chamomile and spiced apple) as I read your poem – invigorating and clean indeed!
