
It started with a series of tremors. Then, on March 15th 2023 the ground vented massive clouds of CO2. Around the globe carbon dioxide monitors wailed.
There wasn’t much to be done, but where possible evacuations to higher ground took place. While only a relative handful could be saved, the Geological Survey team did what they could. With a mere seven hundred rescued at their station, Walford and Hughes of the High Menton Team, despondently made their ascent into an uncertain future.
