We set out early to dig a well
Before we knew it we were on a roll
With no real plan
Our work to control
By eve a semi circle – we had on show
But a pit is a danger for those that stroll
Whether it’s a half
Or a circle whole
Such an excavation
Is still a hole
So we placed a beware sign
