Reflecting on life – in the night

Seeking inspiration as to what to write

Drawing on experience and the word divine

Trying to share wisdom in terms refined

It is not through vanity or praise to be sought

But the use of a gift that was eternally bought

For each has been given talents to use

They’re God-given and not always those that we choose

For the gifts of the Spirit they are many and varied

And each of us should take up our places –

That for us are prepar-ed
