The Pursuit of Happiness

A life lived for self, no concern for others

“Me and mine,” no thought of “brothers”

Eat, drink, be merry, it’s the thing to do

Don’t let anyone get anything over on you

But true happiness comes when your ego you deflate

And seek lasting peace in an altared state
